Health & Safety on closing for Easter

Health & Safety on closing for Easter

About this event

As we wind down towards the Easter holidays, we will be discussing the essential plans to manage your school safely across the holiday period. This may include full building shut down or partial closure with skeleton staff and compliance requirements do not stop when the term ends. To prepare for the holiday period and the summer term, we will be holding a free session to discuss:

  • Managing your buildings during holiday periods – Preparation for how the building will be used during holiday times is essential. Will the building be completely closed or will you have skeleton staff working with contractors
  • External clubs run on your site – Holiday clubs can vary in type and the facilities that they use. We will review the latest Government guidance to assess what club set ups are manageable and how you suitably risk assess such activities.
  • Forward thinking – For all that changed in the previous academic year, it can be hard to plan ahead for which activities that will return. Consideration needs to be given to educational visits returning as a curriculum staple and how they can be managed successfully with changing staff numbers, amendments to emergency planning arrangements and feasibility of travel.

Let us introduce you to this week's professional speaker
