Managing Health and Safety in Schools - 9th and 16th July 2019

What this course contains

This course is designed to provide delegates with the information needed to effectively manage Health and Safety in their educational environment. Providing a thorough understanding of the concept 'managing safely' by focusing on: Legislation relevant to educational institutions, Risk Assessment, Identifying Hazards in Schools, Accident Management and Monitoring Health and Safety

Intended Outcomes

Course participants will be able to:

  • Review their health and safety management system and align it to HSE guidance
  • Apply basic management principles and practices to safety and health issues as part of a total management strategy
  • Recognise health and safety hazards and implement control measures
  • Carry out suitable and sufficient risk assessments
  • Ensure adequate information, training and supervision are provided for employees
  • Investigate an accident or incident involving injury or damage to determine the causes and take appropriate actions
  • Monitor and review their health and safety system and ensure continual improvement

Designed for Business Managers, Resource Directors, senior level managers or any person responsible for managing Health and Safety in schools

When and Where

This is a two day course and will be held at St. Giles, 154 Southampton Row, Holborn, WC1B 5JX (Map) on the following dates:

 1st Day – 9th July 2019

 2nd Day – 16th July 2019

Delegates are requested to be on site at 9am (but no earlier than 8.30am) for refreshments and introductions. Each day should draw to a close around 4:15pm

The cost

The course costs £495 for the two days, it includes lunch, refreshments and training materials. This course is available at a discounted rate of £395 for existing Judicium Education Health and Safety compliance clients.


To successfully complete the course, delegates will be required to pass a short assessment.


Upon successful completion of the course delegates will be issued a CPD accredited certificate. The course equates to 12 hours of CPD.
