Exclusive to your School: A Practical Guide to Grievance Investigations
Who is it for?
This course is aimed at members of the Governing Body or trustees, SLT, SBMs, HR team members, and line managers that may be asked to hear a grievance and undertake a grievance investigation into the concerns raised.
Intended Outcomes
This course focuses the practicalities of a grievance investigation from the perspective of the person hearing the grievance and the investigating officer (this is often the same person), including:
- Understanding when and why the school may be required to undertake a grievance investigation;
- Exploring the roles of the Investigating Officer and person hearing the grievance;
- Understanding what is involved with the investigation process;
- Considering how to present findings - both where the IO is the decision maker and where the IO is not; and
- Understanding the types of recommendations that can be made.

This session is charged at £250 per hour. Discounts applied for Employment Law & HR Clients at £175 per hour. Where the session is to be delivered on site, reasonable travel expenses will be charged in addition to the session cost.
