The government announced yesterday that results for GCSEs and A-levels will be determined solely by teachers. They will be assessed using a combination of mock exams, homework, coursework, tests and essays. There is also the option of using assessments set by exam boards. Evidence will be needed to be submitted with the gradings.

With Storm Darcy bringing freezing temperatures and heavy snowfalls, most of the country has experienced some level of snow and ice over the last few days (we even had a light dusting here on the South Coast!). As the cold weather is set to continue for several more days, you may experience staff struggling, or being unable, to get into work.
