About this scheduled HR Advisory course

Who is it for?

This is a highly recommended programme for anyone that has a role that involves HR administration or management in education, particularly anyone new to the role of School Business Manager, Bursar, HR Officer etc.

  • Notice periods
  • Absence Management
  • Maternity, Paternity & Shared Parental Leave

Module 3 - Teachers’ regulations and pay: (Monday 12th October 2026 at 9.30am - 12.30)

  • Who can be employed as a teacher? This includes qualifications, instructors and overseas trained teachers
  • Teachers Induction and probation
  • Specified work regulations
  • Notice periods specific to teachers
  • Teachers Pay and conditions
  • Allowances for teachers
  • Teachers pay statements
  • Teachers working time 

Module 4 - Education HR in Practice: (Thursday 15th October 2026 at 9.30am - 12.30pm)

This is a practical session where we work through various scenarios to consolidate the learning from the previous sessions.  

Please note that, following your attendance at the first module, you will automatically be registered for the next session.

Time

  • 9.30am – 12.30pm

Location

  • This course will be run remotely via Zoom.

Cost

  • The cost of this session is £495 plus VAT per person for clients of the Employment Law and HR Service and £595 plus VAT per person for non-Employment Law and HR Service Clients.

CPD

This course equates to 12 hours of CPD (across all 4 sessions) and following attendance on the course, participants will be sent electronic copies of their CPD certificate, along with copies of the slides and activities discussed during the session.
