Understanding Ofsted inspections of safeguarding

This session explores how Ofsted now inspects safeguarding under the updated framework. It explains how inspectors gather evidence, how safeguarding judgements are reached, and what can create confidence or concern during an inspection. The session aims to help schools understand that Ofsted is looking for consistent, lived safeguarding practice across the whole organisation—not perfect paperwork or scripted answers.
Attendees will develop a clear understanding of how inspectors build a picture of safeguarding over time and how all stakeholders contribute to this.
