What Inclusion means in 2026

Inclusion is at the heart of the Ofsted inspection regime and is central to government education policy moving forward. This session will explore what is meant by the term ‘inclusion’ in the context of schools and academy trusts; we will focus on the aspects of policy, procedures, and most importantly the practices our settings have in place to promote and support inclusion and how governors and trustees should ensure they have effective strategic oversight of their school or trust’s provision and the impact this has on pupil outcomes.
