About this On-Site Health & Safety course

What this course contains

This course is suitable for staff who carry out or manage, working at height work activities and need to understand key legal requirements to safely work at height and inspect equipment.

This course is delivered face to face with theory and practical elements. This course will be delivered at the client's premises, the trainer would need to have access to a classroom/meeting room, a step ladder and a leaning ladder and an area to use and set up a leaning ladder. Our sessions allow participants to be guided through the course content, engage with the trainer and group to ask questions, participate in group discussions and practical exercises.

Intended outcomes

Course participants will:

  • Understand what constitutes working at height and the applicable legislation
  • Gain a good understanding of what equipment can be used and how it should be used for working at low levels
  • Understand how to complete a work at height risk assessment
  • Understand how to complete a ladder equipment inspection
  • Complete safe access with a step ladder and leaning ladder

This course is suitable for people that carry out or manage working at height work activities and need to understand key legal requirements to prevent accidents.

The cost

The course costs £595.00 + VAT and can be delivered on site to small or larger groups.

For schools that do not subscribe to our Health & Safety Support Service, fees are £895 plus VAT.

Assessment

To successfully complete the course, attendees will be required to pass a written assessment (80% pass rate) and a practical ladder assessment.

Delegates will be required to bring a hard hat, appropriate work shoes/boots, a hi-vis jacket or vest and gloves to complete the practical assessment.

CPD

Upon successful completion of the course, attendees will be issued a CPD accredited certificate. The course equates to 3 hours of CPD.
