Why choose our Employment Law & HR Advisory for Schools Service?

Initial Consultation

The purpose of this consultation visit is to familiarise the team with your school or MAT. We'll provide an overview of our service and how to best utilise this to your advantage, to discuss any employment related issues you may have that need resolving, and to take instructions regarding your current HR policies, procedures, and employment contracts.  This with a view to updating them in line with recent legislation, best practice and your current operational goals.

Expert Advice for all Employment Law and HR related matters

Unlimited advice from an experienced Employment Law & HR consultant by telephone and email on all employment law related matters. This includes advice on day-to-day matters such as contracts, pay, sickness absence, family friendly rights, disciplinary and grievances, as well as the more complex areas like restructuring and termination of employment.

Annual consultation with Employment Law & HR consultant

One of our experienced consultants will meet with you annually to review the service you have received from us and to explore and identify your key priorities, risks and HR aims for the coming term/year.

Newsletters

We regularly publish newsletters, with useful information about managing your employees and highlighting key changes to employment law relevant to the education sector.

Drafting or updating employment documentation

We will review your employment contracts, policies and procedures and where changes are recommended, we will amend as far as necessary to ensure they comply with the current legislation and recommended best practice.   However, if your documentation does not currently reflect your HR ethos and/or your current operational goals, we can look to draft a new set of documents, based on our templates, tailoring these to your specific requirements.

Following that initial review, we will continue to review your employment contracts and HR policies and procedures. There are no limits on the number of times you ask us to review any applicable documentation.

Assistance with employment letters

We will happily review and, if necessary, re-draft any employment law related document or correspondence you have drafted either independently or using templates supplied by us. An example of this might be a letter asking a teacher to attend a disciplinary meeting.

Accredited eLearning for all employees

As part of the annual package, all employees of the school will have free, unlimited access to our HR eLearning library. This contains over 30 CPD accredited courses ranging from Managing Sickness Absence to an Introduction to Performance Management.  We can advise schools on which courses are appropriate to which employees.

Documents Portal

As part of the annual package, the school will have access to our Documents Portal, allowing you to download a wide selection of documentation linked to this service. Such as, template policies, risk assessments, guidance notes and a wide selection of template letters
