Health & Safety: Natasha's Law - What Schools Need to Know 10AM

About this event

Natasha’s Law has recently come into play and has changed how schools think about allergens. The implications are wide-ranging. We will be discussing what, as schools , you need to do.

During the session we will be looking at:

  • School allergen policies
  • What it means for pre-packaged food and ingredients provided on-site
  • How to raise awareness amongst all stakeholders (including temporary / agency staff)

Let us introduce you to this week's professional speaker

Rachel has a BSc (Hons) degree in Environmental Health and is a Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). Rachel has worked previously as an enforcing EHO within Local Authorities and other consultancy companies specialising in the hospitality industry. Rachel’s roles and responsibilities include ensuring the Health, Safety and Fire compliance is implemented and managed by the schools we work with. Additionally, Rachel's expertise lie within Food Safety and she is a H&S Lead Governor at her local primary school. To relax, Rachel enjoys attending theatres, music festivals, socialising with friends and family. She loves walking her family dog on a sandy beach, but nothing beats a good book and a cup of tea to unwind after a hard day at work.
