Splash with confidence: Safety essentials for swimming in schools

About this event

Swimming plays a vital role in pupil development, from teaching lifesaving skills to supporting physical and mental wellbeing. But with great benefits come significant risks.

Whether you’re outsourcing lessons or managing an on-site pool, the legal and safety responsibilities rest with you. This focused session is designed to help school leaders and trust decision-makers confidently navigate those responsibilities with clarity and control.

Led by expert Health & Safety consultants, this is your opportunity to strengthen your school or trust’s approach, ensure compliance, and protect pupils and staff in high-risk swimming environments.

During the session we will be looking at:

    • The importance of swimming lessons in schools
      • What due diligence looks like when choosing a swimming lessons provider
      • Key safety considerations when managing your school’s own pool
