Getting to Grips with COSHH: Managing safety from Practical Departments to the Caretaker's Cupboard
Join us as we unpack the essentials of COSHH and what it really means in a school setting. From science labs and art rooms to cleaning stores and caretaker cupboards, hazardous substances are everywhere, and so are your responsibilities.
This session will help you feel more confident in identifying risks and taking the right steps to keep staff, pupils, and your site safe.
Whether you’re new to COSHH or need a refresher, this session will bring clarity to a complex (but critical) topic.
During the session we will be looking at:
-
- A case study
- The law and responsibilities
- What is a Hazardous Substance?
- COSHH risk assessments
Let us introduce you to this week's professional speaker
Mike Wright
Mike is a Certified Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), who joined Judicium in 2017. His roles and responsibilities include ensuring the Health, Safety and Fire Compliance is implemented and managed by the schools we work with.
