Understanding the Employment Rights Act 2025: What Schools and Trusts Need to Know
The Employment Rights Bill received royal assent on 18 December 2025 and is now referred to as the Employment Rights Act 2025. The act outlines several key employment changes that will alter the way employers recruit, manage the employment relationship, and dismiss staff. This will involve reviewing policies, procedures and compliance practices, as well as training for line managers. The time to act is now for schools and trusts to fully understand the demands expected and how to remain compliant.
