This course is designed to provide participants with a thorough understanding of the key requirements of The Control of Asbestos Regulations and the best practice to manage asbestos. It will provide guidance on the key management requirements within a school environment.

Intended Outcomes

Course participants will:

Understand what asbestos is and what hazards it poses
Have a thorough understanding of asbestos legislation
Be given practical advice about the concerns and management requirements within a school environment
Know the requirements regarding asbestos waste and removal
Know what emergency procedures are necessary when dealing with asbestos

Assessment

Attendees will be required to pass a short multiple-choice test
