Who is it for?

The course is aimed at those that may be involved in undertaking either a disciplinary or grievance investigation. This could include Governors, Trustees, members of SLT, SBMs, HR team members or other line managers.

Intended Outcomes

The session will provide a practical overview of both disciplinary and grievance investigations, including the key differences in both processes. At the end of the session it is intended that participants will understand:

  • When and why managers may be required to undertake an investigation;
  • the role of the Investigating Officer;
  • What is involved in with both a disciplinary and grievance investigation;
  • The importance of Interviews;
  • Assessing your evidence and pulling this information together formally and
  • Recommendations that can be made.


      • The cost of this session starts at £995 plus VAT for up to 20 participants for clients of the Employment Law & HR Service. Each additional participant will be charged at £55 plus VAT per head. Where the session is to be delivered on site, in person, reasonable travel expenses will be charged in addition to the session cost.
