5. Enforcement of the Fire Safety Order and limitations of using legislation only to manage fire safety.

Intended Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, delegates will be able to: -
• Understand their legal and moral responsibilities for Health, Safety and Fire Management as the Responsible Person.
• Improve the health, safety and fire safety culture by actively leading and creating a culture of collaboration and compliance among people in your school.
• Recognise the importance of strategic health, safety and fire management and its integration into other management systems;
• Appreciate the consequences of failing to manage effectively;
• Plan the direction for health and safety and fire through developing and implementing policy;
• Appreciate the value of an adequately resourced management systems;
• Ensure adequate information, training and supervision are provided for employees;
• Understand the importance of performance monitoring and review for continual improvement of health and safety management.

Who is this course for

This course has been designed for school leaders who may want to refresh and expand their vision of Health, Safety and Fire Management legislation and compliance in educational premises and lead H&S and Fire Safety in their educational settings effectively

The cost

The course costs £793 + VAT and can be delivered on site to small or larger groups for up to 16 delegates.

For schools that do not subscribe to our Health & Safety Support Service, fees are £1,192 + VAT.

Assessment

To successfully complete the course, attendees will be required to pass a short assessment.

CPD

Upon successful completion of the course attendees will be issued a CPD accredited certificate. The course equates to 3 hours of CPD.
