"Caught in the Crossfire? Leading with Confidence Through Parental Conflict"

When parents are in conflict, schools can easily find themselves stuck in the middle. These situations can be really tricky to manage—they’re often time-consuming, emotionally draining, and can put school leaders in a difficult position. It’s easy to get drawn into the drama, especially when parents start sharing their concerns or complaints about each other’s behaviour. Without clear boundaries and a calm, consistent approach, it can quickly shift the focus away from the child and create added pressure on staff who are just trying to do the right thing.

This webinar is ideal for DSLs, Headteachers and Family Liaison Officers. It equips staff and leaders with the knowledge to understand the following:

• What is, and what isn’t a school’s responsibility.
• How to ensure that your focus remains on the child’s needs.
• How to navigate these situations in line with statutory legislation and guidance.
• How to manage the emotional impact on staff with strategies for maintaining professional boundaries and wellbeing.
