How to Create a Data Protection Culture
Schools are busy places, and staff are adept at juggling multiple tasks every day. How can we ensure data protection remains a focus without overwhelming staff with yet more policies?
Join us as we discuss how to create a data protection culture in schools.
During the session we will be looking at:
- What do we mean by adopting a privacy by design approach?
- Why policies and procedures matter.
- What tips can we offer to school staff?
Let us introduce you to this week's professional speaker
Claire is a qualified teacher who, having witnessed first-hand the amount of conflicting and confusing data protection advice offered to schools, decided to retrain with the aim of focussing on supporting schools. Having previously worked for a company offering both data protection and safeguarding advice to schools. She understands the crossovers first hand, and she draws on both her teaching and industry experiences to best support our schools with practical advice. In her spare time, she loves playing netball, watching netball and talking about netball (as she lives with four teenage children, Claire says netball is a much needed escape).
