The Do’s and Don’ts of Having Contractors On Site

About this event

Whether it’s a new roof, a playground repair, or even a new building, it’s part and parcel that at some point you will require contractors on your site.

Contractors are not employed by your school or Trust, so this adds an additional level of complexity to managing your health and safety.

Did you know working with contractors is one of the areas our health and safety team receive the most queries about?

During this session, we will discuss your responsibilities for ensuring how you stay compliant.

During the session we will be looking at:

        • The legal requirements and importance of health and safety in school projects.

        • Your pre-contract health and safety assessment including contractor selection and due diligence
      • Planning (risk assessments, method statements and tailoring for project scales).
      • Contractor induction and training
      • Tips for site-specific health and safety measures
      • Monitoring, Audits and Reviews

Let us introduce you to this week's professional speaker
