Top Tips to Avoid Party Pitfalls

About this event

A school work Christmas party can be a great opportunity to bring everyone together and celebrate successes over the past year, but bringing together a large group of colleagues outside of the usual work environment can be a catalyst for employment law issues.

Did you know that even if the event is off site and outside of working hours, the conduct of your staff at the event is from a legal standpoint to be ‘in the course of employment’ meaning you are ‘vicariously liable’.

With this in mind, proper planning is essential and as the festive season approaches, we’ll discuss the best ways to try to avoid party pitfalls.

During the session we will be covering the following:

    • Holding inclusive events
    • Communications with staff
    • Key do’s and don’ts

Let us introduce you to this week's professional speaker
