Safeguarding

Safeguarding Pupils with SEND

About this event

Did you know children with disabilities are 3.7 times more likely than other children to be abused or neglected?

Sometimes this is because of high care needs, increased vulnerability or the range of other factors that affect other children.

It’s not always easy to spot the signs of abuse. Do you need to better identify safeguarding concerns when working with children and young people in your school?

During the session we will be discussing the following:

      • How SEND intersects with safeguarding in schools
      • Building a whole school approach, inclusive of SEND
      • Specific accommodations and considerations

Let us introduce you to this week's professional speaker
