Digital Literacy in the AI Era: Equipping Leaders to Tackle Misinformation and Disinformation
KCSIE has identified that misinformation, disinformation (including fake news) and conspiracy theories as increasing risks for our students.
The Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) guidance has also been updated, highlighting that the curriculum should embed lessons on these topics by 2026.
This webinar will cover the following areas and is suitable for designated safeguarding leads, deputies, subject leads, and headteachers:
- What is misinformation, disinformation, fake news, and conspiracy theories?
- What are the risks to students?
- How should the curriculum address these risks?
- Filtering and monitoring requirements to block harmful AI content
- Case studies where AI has led to safeguarding concerns
