Acting Head of Safeguarding

Simon Hanley is Head of Safeguarding at Judicium Education, bringing over 25 years’ leadership experience across the education sector. He leads safeguarding audits, policy development, training, and best-practice support for schools and trusts, helping boards and leaders strengthen both compliance and culture.

Simon combines strategic oversight with a strong coaching and mentoring ethos, supporting leaders and teams to navigate challenge, build confidence, and drive sustainable improvement. His approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and a deep understanding of how effective safeguarding systems operate in practice. Through his leadership, Simon helps organisations move beyond process to create safeguarding arrangements that genuinely protect and support children and young people.
