Here at Judicium, we are seeing a rise in stress related staff absences, especially now that the second lockdown is in full effect. It is important to review policies, provide refresher training for your staff, look at what support is available and what can be done to prevent stress.

As you may be aware, with the end of the Brexit transition so close (31 December 2020), now is the time to help secure the future of any EU members of staff working for the school by making them aware of the requirements to apply for settled or pre settled status by 30 June 2021 if they want to continue living in the UK beyond that date.

With staff transitioning between school and home working, it is important to review policies, look at refresher training and begin discussions surrounding retention of data in general as we return after half term.

As you may be aware, the Chancellor, Rishi Sunak, last week announced that the scheme will remain open until 31 March 2021, not the end of the national lockdown of 2 December as many assumed.

As you may be aware, following the announcement at the weekend of the national lockdown coming into effect on Thursday, the introduction of the Job Support Scheme which was due to come into effect on 1 November 2020 has been postponed and the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (better known as the Furlough scheme) has been extended until December 2020.
