Preparing for Apprasials
Who is it for?
This course is aimed at members of staff that are new to managing the appraisal process – this could include members of SLT, SBMs, HR team member or middle managers that are either new to overseeing the appraisal process or would like a refresher on best practice.
Intended Outcomes
This course will provide an overview of the appraisal process and its importance for those who are new to the management of this process, including:
- Understanding what is involved in an appraisal process;
- Identifying the roles and responsibilities of the line manager in the appraisal process;
- Understanding the difference between appraisal and capability;
- Considering the importance of target setting;
- Understanding the importance of review periods;
- Understanding the best format for appraisal meetings and
- How to avoid common pitfalls.

Location
- This course will be run remotely via Zoom.
Cost
- The cost of this session is £110 plus VAT per person for clients of the Employment Law and HR Service and £140 plus VAT per person for non-Employment Law and HR Service Clients.
CPD
This course equates to 2.5 hours of CPD and following attendance on the course, participants will be sent electronic copies of their CPD certificate, along with copies of the slides and activities discussed during the session.
