About this Safeguarding course

Course Overview:

The aim of the course is to deepen your knowledge of Part One of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE), which all staff working in schools should read and understand.

Intended Outcomes:

By working through the pages, you will explore the main points from KCSIE, including:

  • Key responsibilities within safeguarding, including the role of the DSL
  • Different types of abuse and safeguarding concerns
  • How to respond to concerns and disclosures
  • What can happen after referrals are made to the DSL
  • What to do if you have concerns amount a member of staff or volunteer
  • The importance of whistleblowing

All staff.

Duration:

60 minutes.

This course is available as part of our eLearning annual licence which includes unlimited access to the full Safeguarding eLearning Library for £ 995 plus VAT per annum.

Alternatively, if your school subscribes to our annual Safeguarding Support Service, you will receive access to our entire Safeguarding eLearning library at no extra cost.

Assessment:

To successfully complete the course, learners will be required to pass a short assessment.

CPD:

Upon successful completion of the course learners will be issued a CPD accredited certificate to download. The course equates to 1 hour of CPD.
