Over the last 18 months, we've had a growing number of schools contact us about MATs (Multi Academy Trusts). Either about joining one; or because they have been approached by one. So much so, that at times we have felt like a brokerage firm.
There are numerous types of MATs. Some are highly acquisitive with a focus on growth and building their number of schools. Some have strong corporate brands, with a distinct identity that cascades down to all their schools. Whereas others give their schools far more autonomy. Some have inspirational leadership, and values which may nicely coincide with your own. Some may not.
Judicium Education works with all manner of MATs : from some of the biggest and best-known national chains, to very young trusts, still seeking their first partner.
If you're thinking of joining a MAT, or have been invited to join one; and would like to discuss the matter before making a decision, please contact us. This is a free service, for which we don’t charge.
After all, we may already work with that MAT. And / or, we may work for another provider, that would also be interested in having a chat about the future of your school. Local authority boundaries have little meaning. Indeed, your perfect MAT partner could be located in the LA next door.
So don't rush into anything. You and your school will have options; and plenty of choice, if the MAT route is one you ultimately decide to take.
To have a chat, please contact alex@judicium.com / 020 7336 8403.
