National School Governors’ Awareness Day – 2022
Jeremy Kaye - Head of Clerking & Governance, Judicium Education
22nd February 2022 is the inaugural National School Governors’ Day, bringing schools and students together to show their support for the education world’s unsung heroes. We are celebrating the volunteers who set aside much of their spare time to lead our schools and academies. A strong team of governors ensures that schools have good strategic underpinning and well-organised, properly supported senior leadership teams.
Governors are key to the running of schools, and Judicium Education is proud to support them through our Clerking & Governance service.
We would like to congratulate our sister company Strictly Education for identifying the need for a national awareness day to honour school governors.
Judicium Education’s clerking team supports hundreds of governors each week at schools and academies across England. We help them develop their skills through exclusive training courses designed jointly by Judicium and our partners the National Governance Association (NGA).
Our team work tirelessly alongside Governors to build strong boards. These unwavering volunteers give up many evenings each month to work on strategies and mechanisms for their governing boards.
The past two years have been extremely difficult for governing boards. Our Virtual Clerking service proved invaluable for governors though much of the bad times, which is why we are continuing to expand it.
This National School Governors’ Awareness Day, Judicium Education would like to thank each and every governor in the UK, the boards they sit on, and the chairs that lead them.
We hope that the parents of the pupils you support will join us in applauding you.
