Who is this course for

Suitable for all staff, this course provides the participants with the knowledge required to complete manual handling within the school safely.

What this course contains.

The course will provide attendees with information on the risks associated with manual handling activities. It ensures attendees recognize the key legal requirements, are able to identify the hazards and consequences of poor handling techniques and apply the basic principles of good manual handling techniques.

Intended Outcomes.

Course participants will be able to:

  • Understand the legislation underpinning Manual Handling operations
  • Know what constitutes 'manual handling'
  • Understand how the human body works in relation to manual handling
  • Recognise the different types of injuries possible
  • Know how to assess manual handling tasks
  • Be able to apply regulations and best practice

When and Where.

This is a half day course running for 3 hours and will be held at Judicium’s London Head Office (72 Cannon Street, London, EC4N 6AE) on the following date: 

13th March 2019 – 9am -12pm

Delegates are requested to be on site at 9am for refreshments and introductions .

The Cost.

£99 + VAT for Judicium Clients and £199 + VAT for non Judicium Clients

Assessment.

Delegates will be required to undertake a short paper. On successful completion of the course and passing the exam (60%) candidates will receive a CPD accredited certificate

CPD.

Upon successful completion of the course delegates will be issued a CPD accredited certificate. The course equates to 3 hours of CPD.
