Covid-19 Risk assessment on opening schools
From the week commencing 1st June at the earliest, the government has asked schools to open to selected year groups. In order to do this schools are required to complete a risk assessment and follow guidance as to how this can be done safely.
Judicium Education has created a detailed risk assessment template for schools to amend for their specific school. The risk assessment template sets out the known hazards and important controls that have been advised either by the Government / DfE, the World Health Organisation (WHO), Public Health England (PHE), NHS (safe practice) or good practice (unions/other sources). Some are suggested measures that may be or may not be applicable to your school and specific education setting. The responsible person within the school should use this information to formulate a plan / safe procedures that fit your school.
The template has been uploaded to our template site, which you have access to via your school client log in at https://www.judiciumeducation.co.uk. The template can be found under "Other Risk Assessments". If you are part of a trust the template has been sent directly to the main H&S contact for the group. If you are a stand-alone school it will be sent directly to you by the end of this week. But of course you can download it now.
If you have any questions please refer directly to your assigned health & safety consultant.
