About this Health & Safety course

Course Overview:

This course will provide the knowledge and understanding required to complete accident investigations in schools.

Intended Outcomes:

The aim of the course is to provide you with knowledge and understanding of Accident / Incident investigation requirements in schools. This course will provide you with the following knowledge:

  • Why accident / incident investigation is important
  • Who should complete the investigation
  • What should be investigated
  • How investigations should be completed
  • How to plan any improvement actions required

Who is it for:

The person responsible for Accident Investigation in the school. The Head Teacher / Principal, Governors, SLT and Business Manager.


30 minutes – 45 minutes.

The Cost:

This course is available as part of our eLearning annual licence which includes unlimited access to the full Health and Safety eLearning Library for £1,385 plus VAT per annum.

Alternatively, if your school subscribes to our annual Health and Safety Support Service, you will receive access to our entire health and safety eLearning library at no extra cost.


To successfully complete the course, learners will be required to pass a short assessment.


Upon successful completion of the course learners will be issued a CPD accredited certificate to download. The course equates to 1 hour of CPD.
