Course Overview:
This course will provide all applicable staff with the knowledge of immediate response measures to incidents in science. In these situations, speed is essential to prevent worse injury
Intended Outcomes:
The aim of the course is to provide you with the following knowledge:
- What are Remedial Measures
- Steps in dealing with and emergency
- Specific procedures for Hair or clothing on fire, Burns, Cuts, Electric Shock and Chemical Emergencies
Who is it for:
This course is designed for Science staff (Teaching and support), Teaching assistants who support science practical lessons, other staff delivering science practical lessons.
Duration:
45 minutes
The Cost:
This course is available as part of our eLearning annual licence which includes unlimited access to the full Health and Safety eLearning Library for £1,385 plus VAT per annum.
Alternatively, if your school subscribes to our annual Health and Safety Support Service, you will receive access to our entire health and safety eLearning library at no extra cost.
Assessment:
To successfully complete the course, learners will be required to pass a short assessment.
CPD:
Upon successful completion of the course learners will be issued a CPD accredited certificate to download. The course equates to 45 minutes of CPD.
