ho is it for?

This course is aimed at members of staff that are responsible for line management and may need to be involved in de-escalating and resolving conflicts that may arise between members of staff. This could include members of SLT, SBMs, HR team member or middle managers

Intended Outcomes

This interactive session will provide participants with the opportunity to openly discuss a number of scenarios and the best way to approach managing these situations. At the end of the session participants will have had the opportunity to: 

  • Understand the benefits of identifying conflict early; 
  • Share ideas/experience on how to spot conflict early before it escalates; 
  • Go through potential causes of conflict and how to try to resolve conflict; and 
  • Understand where support in resolve issues can be sought.


    • The cost of this session starts at £995 plus VAT for up to 20 participants for clients of the Employment Law & HR Service. Each additional participant will be charged at £55 plus VAT per head. Where the session is to be delivered on site, in person, reasonable travel expenses will be charged in addition to the session cost.

    There is around a 20 minute online session to complete in advance of this training session, via the Acas Website. Further details will be supplied on registration - some of the scenarios discussed during the session will be based on this pre-work/reading.
